What happens at the Sleep Center?
Using state-of-the-art computer technology, diagnostic sleep studies are safely performed to diagnose a variety of sleep disorders in adults and children.
An overnight sleep study, or polysomnogram (PSG), is a painless, non-invasive test used to evaluate a wide array of sleep disorders, most commonly dysfunctional apneic breathing. Highly trained sleep technicians monitor the sleep physiology of airflow, heartbeat (EKG), blood oxygen level, brain wave patterns (EEG), eye movements and the movements of respiratory muscles and limbs. If indicated, we also offer secondary testing to optimize the calibrated settings for CPAP treatment.
